Glycerine is the humectant that holds water against your skin. In industrial soap-making it is a valuable by-product, routinely extracted and sold on. Ours stays in the bar — which is the single biggest reason your face won't feel tight afterwards.

Day one
No tight face
The wash ends and nothing pulls. Coconut milk's fatty acids leave a light conditioning layer, and the glycerine-rich base holds water at the surface instead of carrying it off. You'll notice this the first morning.

- Turmeric evens out how tone looks by calming inflammation and the marks it leaves. It is not a bleaching agent, and we will never sell it as one.
- It will not treat cystic acne.
- A wash-off product gets ninety seconds on your skin. If your acne is deep and painful, see a dermatologist — this can sit alongside that treatment, not replace it.
- It will not soften your water.
- It lathers better in hard water and leaves far less residue than a standard bar, but no soap fixes your building's supply.
- It will not smell strong for hours.
- The scent is real sweet orange oil with nothing synthetic pinning it down. Bright in the shower, then it politely leaves.

Getting the most out of it

Lather in your palms, not on your face
Wet hands, work the bar between them into a soft low foam, then apply. Dragging a bar across facial skin is friction you don't need.

Give it thirty seconds
Light circles, avoiding the eyes. Contact time is what lets the turmeric do anything at all — a three-second splash doesn't.

Rinse cool, then let the bar dry
Keep it on a draining dish away from the shower stream. Dry, it lasts around six weeks. Sitting in water, closer to two.
Questions worth asking
How is this different from any other turmeric soap?
Two things. It's built on a glycerin-rich base rather than a stripping detergent base, which is what stops the tight-face effect. And the turmeric is dosed to work without staining — high-turmeric bars tint towels and go brown within weeks, which is why most of them hide the amount.
Face or body?
Both. It's formulated to the harder brief — gentle enough for facial skin — which makes it comfortable everywhere else by default.
My skin is oily and breaks out. Will this make it worse?
Unlikely. Oily skin often over-produces oil because it's being stripped and compensating, so a non-stripping wash is usually a step toward balance. Patch test along your jaw for two days if you'd rather be careful.
Will the turmeric stain?
Not your skin — it rinses clean. Over months it can leave a faint warm cast on a pure-white washcloth, so use a darker one if that would bother you.
How long does one bar last?
Around six weeks with twice-daily face use, on a draining dish. Body use, considerably less — which is why most people order three.
What if something arrives damaged?
Email hello@nivamskin.com with your order number within 48 hours of delivery and we'll replace it in full. For reasons of hygiene and product safety we can't accept returns or refunds on skincare once it has been dispatched — so if you're unsure, start with one bar rather than three.
How long does delivery take?
Every bar is made to order, so we pack and dispatch within 1–2 business days. Delivery then takes 2–3 business days in metro cities and 3–5 business days elsewhere in India. Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend.
