Why we make our soap in small batches

Most soap on a shelf was made months ago, in enormous runs, and has been sitting in a warehouse ever since. We do the opposite. Every Nivam bar is made to order in small batches in our Delhi studio, then dispatched fresh.
It's slower. It means you wait a few days rather than getting something off a pile. But it's the only way we know to keep a bar honest.
**Fresh means active.** Botanical ingredients — the things that actually do the work — fade with time and heat. A bar poured last week still has its character intact. A bar poured last year is mostly just soap.
**Small batches mean control.** When we make a little at a time, we can watch every pour, keep the recipe tight, and throw out anything that isn't right. Nothing hides in a batch of ten thousand.
**Made to order means no waste.** We're not guessing how much the world wants and dumping the rest. We make what's ordered.
Handcrafted, in small batches, made fresh for you. That's the whole idea — and it's why our bars are what they are.
