Our commitments
How we try to do right
We produce nothing until an order is placed. This means zero unsold stock, zero waste from overproduction, and a fresher product for you. It's the opposite of how most skincare brands work.
Every ingredient in a Nivam product is plant-derived and biodegradable. When it washes off, it goes down the drain without leaving synthetic chemical residue in the water system.
Our products come in minimal, recyclable packaging. No plastic wrapping, no excessive boxes. Just the product, a paper wrap, and the information you need. We're continually working to reduce packaging further.
Small-scale, handcrafted production has a dramatically lower carbon footprint than factory manufacturing. We keep it small on purpose — it keeps quality high and our environmental impact low.
Where we're still working
We believe in transparency — including about what we haven't perfected yet. Shipping still generates carbon. Some of our packaging materials still have room for improvement. We're actively researching compostable packaging and a carbon offset programme.
We'd rather be honest about our limitations than make sweeping claims we can't fully back up.
