Zero SLS, zero parabens — and what we use instead

Our promise fits in one line: **zero parabens, zero SLS, zero synthetic fragrance, zero BS.** It's easy to print on a label — so here's what it actually means, and what we put in a bar instead.
**No SLS.** Sodium lauryl sulphate is the cheap foaming agent in most commercial soap. It makes big bubbles and can leave skin tight and stripped. We'd rather have a gentler lather that cleans without the "squeaky" feeling that's really just dryness.
**No parabens.** Parabens are synthetic preservatives. Because we make fresh in small batches, we don't need to load a bar with them to survive a year in a warehouse.
**No synthetic fragrance.** "Fragrance" on a label can hide dozens of undisclosed compounds. Our bars are scented — or fragrance-free — by their own botanicals, not a lab blend.
**What we use instead:** clean, herbal ingredients you can actually name. Kokum butter and rose for very dry skin. Oat and honey to calm sensitivity. Turmeric and coconut milk to brighten. Neem and tulsi, or neem and lemon peel, for oily and acne-prone skin.
Natural, herbal, handcrafted. Simple ingredients, honestly listed — nothing you need a chemistry degree to read.
